Pengertian Blog, Manfaat, Dan Sejarahnya 

Blog merupakan singkatan dari "web log" yang merupakan suatu bentuk aplikasi web yang berupa aneka macam tulisan-tulisan (yang dimuat sebagai posting atau artikel-artikel blog) pada sebuah halaman web umum (template blog). Tulisan-tulisan ini seringkali dimuat dalam urut yang terbalik (isi atau postingan yang terbaru ditempatkan lebih dahulu atau pada urutan yang pertama baru kemudian diikuti dengan isi atau postingan yang lebih lama dibuat), meskipun tidak harus selamanya demikian. Situs web seperti ini biasanya dapat diakses oleh semua pengguna internet sesuai dengan topik yang diperlukan dan tujuan dari si pengguna blog tersebut, yang biasanya dengan menuliskan suatu kata tertentu (keyword) pada halaman pencarian Google, Yahoo, Bing atau search engine yang lainnya.

Sejarah munculnya Blog 

Media blog ini pertama kali dipopulerkan oleh Blogger.com, yang dimiliki oleh Pyra Labs sebelum pada akhirnya diakuisisi oleh pihak Google pada sekitar akhir tahun 2002. Semenjak itu, banyak terdapat aplikasi-aplikasi yang bersifat sumber terbuka (open source) yang diperuntukkan kepada perkembangan para penulis blog (blogger) tersebut.

Manfaat dan Kegunaannya 

Blog ini mempunyai fungsi atau manfaat yang sangat beragam, mulai dari hanya berupa sebuah catatan harian, media publikasi dalam bentuk sebuah kampanye politik, sampai dengan program-program media lainnya dan perusahaan-perusahaan kelas atas. Sebagian besar blog dipelihara oleh seorang penulis tunggal (blogger), sementara sebagian lainnya oleh beberapa penulis dalam sebuah konsorsium. Banyak juga blog yang memiliki fasilitas interaksi dengan para pengunjungnya, seperti halnya menggunakan buku tamu dan kolom komentar yang dapat memperkenankan pengunjungnya untuk meninggalkan komentar atau tanggapannya atas isi dari sebuah tulisan (artikel blog) yang dipublikasikan, namun demikian ada juga blog yang bersifat sebaliknya (non-interaktif), artinya hanya dipergunakan untuk kalangan terbatas semacam yang dimiliki oleh sebuah institusi sekolah atau perguruan tinggi.
Situs-situs web yang saling berkaitan antara beberapa blog, atau secara total merupakan kumpulan blog sering disebut sebagai blogosphere. Bilamana sebuah kumpulan gelombang aktivitas, informasi dan opini yang sangat besar berulang kali muncul untuk beberapa subyek atau sangat kontroversial terjadi dalam blogosphere, maka hal itu sering disebut sebagai blogstorm atau badai blog.

Komunitas Blogger

Komunitas blogger adalah sebuah ikatan yang terbentuk dari para blogger berdasarkan kesamaan-kesamaan tertentu, seperti kesamaan asal daerah, kesamaan kampus, kesamaan hobi, dan sebagainya. Para blogger yang tergabung dalam komunitas-komunitas blogger tersebut biasanya sering mengadakan kegiatan-kegiatan bersama-sama seperti kopi darat.
Untuk bisa bergabung dalam sebuah komunitas blogger, biasanya ada semacam syarat atau aturan yang harus dipenuhi untuk, misalkan harus berasal dari sebuah daerah tertentu atau memiliki kesamaan minat tertentu.

Budaya popular

Ngeblog (istilah bahasa Indonesia untuk kegiatan blogging) harus dilakukan hampir setiap waktu dengan tujuan mengetahui eksistensi dari pemilik blog. Juga untuk mengetahui sejauh mana blog dirawat (mengganti template) atau menambah artikel (update blog). Dewasa ini telah ada lebih dari 10 juta blog yang bisa ditemukan di dunia internet, dan masih bisa berkembang lagi, karena saat ini ada banyak sekali perangkat lunak, peralatan, dan aplikasi internet lain yang mempermudah para blogger (sebutan bagi pemilik blog) untuk merawat blognya. Selain merawat dan terus melakukan pembaharuan di blognya, para blogger yang tergolong baru pun masih harus sering melakukan blogwalking, yaitu aktivitas para blogger meninggalkan tautan di blog atau situs orang lain seraya memberikan komentar.

Manfaat Ekonomis

Beberapa blogger kini bahkan telah menjadikan blognya sebagai sumber pemasukan (ekonomi, keuangan) utama melalui sebuah program periklanan (misalnya AdSense, posting berbayar, penjualan tautan, atau semacam program-program afiliasi). Sehingga kemudian muncullah istilah blogger profesional, atau problogger, yaitu orang yang menggantungkan hidupnya hanya dari aktivitas ngeblog (mengelola sebuah blog), karena banyak saluran pendapatan dana, baik berupa dolar maupun rupiah dari aktivitas ngeblog ini.

Risiko kejahatan

Karena blog sering digunakan untuk menulis aktivitas sehari-hari yang terjadi pada penulisnya, ataupun merefleksikan pandangan-pandangan penulisnya tentang berbagai macam topik yang terjadi dan untuk berbagi informasi - blog menjadi sumber informasi bagi para hacker, pencuri identitas, mata-mata, dan lain sebagainya. Banyak berkas-berkas rahasia dan penulisan isu sensitif ditemukan dalam sebuah blog. Hal ini dapat berakibat dipecatnya seseorang dari pekerjaannya, diblokir aksesnya, didenda, dan bahkan ditangkap.

Pengerian Internet

Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa internet telah menciptakan revolusi yang sangat tidak terduga dalam dunia teknologi, informasi maupun komunikasi.
Pengertian internet ( interconnection networking) sendiri adalah jaringan komunikasi global yang terbuka dan menghubungkan jutaan bahkan milyaran jaringan komputer dengan berbagai tipe dan jenis, dengan menggunakan tipe komunikasi seperti telepon, satelit dan lain sebagainya.
Awalnya internet merupakan jaringan internet yang dibentuk oleh Departemen Pertahanan Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1969 melalui sebuah proyek yang disebut dengan ARPANET.
Misi awal dari proyek ini awalnya hanya untuk keperluan militer saja, tetapi lambat laun terus berkembang dan bisa dinikmati oleh semua kalangan.
Terciptanya internet telah membawa perubahan yang sangat berarti dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia.
Selain itu, internet juga telah melahirkan dunia baru yang memiliki pola, corak sekaligus karakteristik yang berbeda dengan dunia nyata.
 

Fasilitas-Fasilitas yang Terdapat pada Internet

Internet yang sering disebut dengan jagad raya informasi menyajikan sekian banyak fasilitas yang dapat dinikmati oleh pengguna internet. Berikut ini beberapa fasilitas yang dapat dinikmati oleh pengguna internet, antara lain :

1. WWW

World Wide Web atau yang sering disingkat dengan WWW merupakan sebuah sistem yang terdapat pada internet dan bertugas melakukan pencarian sekaligus pemberian informasi yang cepat dengan menggunakan teknologi hypertext.

Untuk membuat hypertext, diciptakanlah sebuah bahasa pemrograman yang disebut Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML).

HTML berfungsi mengikat alamat WWW atau file dalam sebuah dokumen yang biasanya ber-extention *.htm atau *.html.

Untuk mengirimkan file tersebut, diperlukan peran dari protokol pengiriman data yang spesifik yaitu Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Selain itu, untuk menemukan setiap hubungan hypertext diperlukanlah Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

2. Email

Email merupakan surat atau pesan elektronik yang dikirimkan dan diterima antar pengguna komputer.

Email memungkinkan seorang individu mengirimkan pesan ke individu lainnya dengan waktu yang cepat, bahkan dalam hitungan detik.

Saat ini perkembangan email sangatlah pesat, email tidak hanya berisi teks saja. Kita bisa melampirkan file multimedia seperti gambar, foto, video bahkan animasi.

3. Mailing List

Mailing List atau yang sering disebut dengan milis merupakan salah satu discussion group yang terdapat pada internet.

Untuk menjadi anggota sebuah milis, kita terlebih dahulu mengirimkan email ke subsription address dan menunggu persetujuan dari moderator milis tersebut. Biasanya, anggota dari milis saling bertukar informasi, pendapat, dan lain sebagainya.

4. BBS

Bulletin Board System atau yang biasa disingkat BBS merupakan suatu pusat layanan informasi yang menyediakan berbagai macam informasi dari berbagai bidang tertentu seperti bidang pendidikan, bisnis, sosial, teknologi dan lain-lain.

Dengan menggunakan fasilitas ini, pengguna dapat bertukar pikiran dengan pengguna lainnya pada topik tertentu.

Biasanya, pengguna yang mengakses BBS dapat mengunggah maupun mengunduh berita dari pengguna lain dengan mudah.

5. Chatting

 

Chatting merupakan percakapan antara dua atau lebih pengguna komputer secara realtime dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet.

Bagi pengguna komputer yang telah melengkapi perangkat komputernya dengan webcam, maka mereka dapat chatting dengan melihat wajah pengguna lain yang di ajak chatting tersebut.

6. Newsgroup

Sama halnya dengan milis, newsgroup juga merupakan salah satu discussion group yang ada di internet. Untuk mengakses suatu newsgrup, diperlukan jaringan komputer khusus yang biasa disebut UseNet.

Umumnya, setiap newsgroup di atur berdasarkan satu topik umum yang kemudian dibagi menjadi beberapa sub topik dibawahnya.

7. FTP

FTP atau File Transfer Protocol merupakan layanan internet untuk melakukan transfer file antara pengguna komputer dengan suatu server di internet.

Jadi, kita bisa melakukan pengiriman (upload) atau menyalin (download) sebuah file antara komputer kita dengan komputer lain yang terhubung pada jaringan internet.

FTP umumnya dimanfaatkan sebagai wahana pendukung yang sangat diperlukan untuk pertukaran maupun penyebarluasan sebuah file melalui jaringan internet.

8. Gopher

Gopher merupakan protokol layer aplikasi TCP/ IP yang dirancang khusus untuk keperluan distribusi, pencarian, maupun pengambilan dokumen melalui jaringan internet.

Fungsi/ Manfaat Internet

Dibalik kemudahan dalam mengakses internet, terdapat banyak manfaat yang akan kita peroleh sebagai pengguna internet. Berikut beberapa fungsi/ manfaat dari penggunaan internet :

 1. Menambah Wawasan dan Pengetahuan

Dengan adanya internet, kita jadi lebih tahu mengenai berbagai wawasan dan pengetahuan dari berbagai bidang dari seluruh dunia. Terutama bagi pelajar, internet mempermudah mereka dalam mencari informasi yang berkaitan dengan pelajaran mereka.

2. Komunikasi Menjadi Lebih Cepat

Perkembangan internet yang semakin menjadi-jadi membuat komunikasi antar individu menjadi sangat mudah dan cepat. Kita juga dapat berkomunikasi dengan orang luar negri sekalipun dengan biaya yang relatif murah. Selain itu, sudah banyak jejaring sosial seperti Facebook yang digunakan pengguna internet untuk berkenalan dan menemukan teman baru di sana. Tidak sedikit juga dari mereka yang ngobrol/ chatting dengan kerabat mereka menggunakan jejaring sosial ini.

3. Mudahnya Belanja di Internet

Dengan meledaknya penggunaan internet, semakin banyak orang yang tertarik melakukan belanja online. Saat ini, banyak orang yang lebih suka belanja online karena sangat mudah dan efisien.

Salah satu keuntungan dari belanja online adalah kita tidak perlu keluar rumah untuk membeli item yang kita butuhkan.

Selain itu, ketika jam kerja sangat sibuk atau tidak teratur, belanja online merupakan pilihan yang terbaik untuk membeli barang tanpa harus menyita banyak waktu.

4. Internet sebagai Wahana Hiburan

Internet juga berperan sebagai “Penghibur” bagi anda yang sedang gelisah atau galau memikirkan sesuatu. Anda bisa menghibur diri dengan mengakses jejaring sosial, mendengarkan musik, streaming video atau main game.

5. Berbagi Apapun Menjadi Lebih Mudah

7. Pentingnya Internet dalam Dunia Bisnis

Gitgit Waterfall Location

This is the most famous waterfall in Bali.  Gitgit Waterfall is on the edge of the Highway Denpasar - Bedugul - Singaraja .The Waterfall is 300 meters above sea level and often visited by tourists, it can get very busy. Gitgit Waterfall is located in the village Gitgit, Sukasada District, Buleleng regency. Gitgit Waterfall is located between villages and clove plantations. All 3 series of cascades are on the same watershed. They have separate parking spots, all close together. To be able to see the Gitgit Waterfall up close, you have to pay the entrance fee of Rupiah 3000 per person. Roads and stairs are well maintained, making it easier to visit.  On the side of the road that passes the Gitgit Waterfall, there are several souvenir shops. Along the way you also see many small children who try to sell beads. You will also find a lot of guides trying to show you the way!. Gitgit Waterfall consists of several waterfalls with different shapes and heights. Halfway along the way the scene changes and on both sides you can see coffee and clove trees. It is a refreshing experience to walk in this quiet area where the birds take turns to sing. The air is cool and gradually gets colder when you approach the waterfall. A short distance from the Gitgit Waterfall, the fine water spray will cool your body. Sometimes the atmosphere will become misty.

Gitgit Waterfall Consist Of

• The First Gitgit Waterfall is Twin Falls you have to go down a path and stairs to get there.Twin Falls as the name suggests, consists of two adjoining waterfalls. Both waterfalls are not very high but the current is quite swift. Below the waterfall there is a small pond with very clear and cold water. This waterfall is sheltered in a narrow cliff so it is a bit dark. Green trees that surround the waterfall make the atmosphere cool and beautiful. 
• The Second Gitgit Waterfall is a continuation of the Twin Falls. The source water comes from Twin Falls watershed. The second waterfall is a bit higher than Twin Falls, it is sixty metres high and as the water falls, it looks like white clouds falling down the mountain one after another. The falling water almost completely covers the rock face of the fall. 
• The Third Gitgit Waterfall is called Waterfall Story. You can only see this waterfall from the bridge it is not so high but quite beautiful. The water is very clean and clear. This Gitgit Waterfall is located under the bridge and covered by trees. You cannot see this waterfall from the front.

There are beautiful waterfalls in Bali that deserve your visit. Some are easy to reach, others are more challenging. Most waterfalls are in the mountains in North Bali

The eastern countryside is called Pemaron about 5 Km west of Singaraja, and the western countryside is Temukus about 12 Km west of Singaraja.

BATUKARU TEMPLE IS A BALINESE HINDU TEMPLE ON THE FOOT OF MOUNTAIN BATUKARU

 

Batukaru Temple  is one of the biggest Hindu Temples in Bali (Sad Kahyangan) with Catur Lokapala Temple and Padmabhuwana Temple status. One uniqueness in Batukaru Temple is the ceremony which is only last for one day, quiet different from the rest of the temple in Bali which have the average ritual duration at least 3 days. The main ceremony will fall between Galungan and Kuningan holiday in Bali, while Galungan and Kuningan is the biggest holiday for all Bali except north Bali and villages called Bali Aga.
